UGGC Avocats announces the appointment of Michel Ponsard as President of AFEC

Paris, July 2, 2024 – UGGC Avocats is pleased to announce the appointment of partner Michel Ponsard as President of the French Association for the Study of Competition (AFEC) at its General Meeting and Executive Committee on Monday June 24, 2024.

Michel Ponsard, a member of AFEC for almost 20 years, brings recognized expertise in competition law. His long-standing commitment to AFEC, notably as Vice-Chairman, made him a logical and appropriate choice to lead this association. His vast experience will be an invaluable asset in guiding AFEC’s future initiatives.

AFEC, founded nearly 70 years ago, is an association made up of various competition law practitioners (ADLC members, DGCCRF, magistrates, law professors, companies, economists, students and lawyers). The association’s vocation is to participate in all discussions and influence the development of competition law in France and Europe through working groups, conferences and exchanges with various institutions.
