The first few months of 2024 have been marked by substantial regulatory developments concerning data in Europe, developments in the light of which the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is being thought through dynamically. With two other regulations, the Data Act (already in force) and the AI Act ((still being validated), the European Union (EU) is trying to maintain this innovative momentum while ensuring effective protection of individual rights.
