Cannes 2022: “Transposition of the AVMS Directive”, with Anne-Marie Pecoraro, Corinne Khayat and Rodolphe Boissau
After a 73rd virtual edition because of Covid-19 and a 74th edition shifted in July to be organized in person despite the pandemic, the 75th edition of the Cannes Film Festival returns to the traditional spring calendar: it takes place from May 17 to 28, 2022[1].
With the International Association of Entertainement Lawyers chaired by Jeff Liebenson, Stephanie Rotelli, Ted Shapiro, Santiago Mediano, Anne-Marie Pecoraro, the UGGC IP/IT and media law team did not miss the call!
Anne-Marie Pecoraro, Corinne Khayat and Rodolphe Boissau had the pleasure to host their traditional “Cannes Producers Lunch“, on Thursday 19th May 2022.
This event, co-organized with IAEL[2] and the best international specialists in audiovisual law, brought together renowned speakers with whom the UGGC Avocats team is pleased to have been able to discuss the theme “Big Bang 2022 – after the transposition of the AVMS Directive“; with speeches from Ted Shapiro, Stephanie Rotelli, Santiago Mediano of Santiago Mediano Abogados.
Anne Marie Pecoraro was able to come back to the audiovisual reforms that have taken place in French law since the last edition of the festival, to expose and discuss them with the other speakers: SMAD decrees, DTT, Cable-Satellite, anti-piracy law, media chronology… these speeches and presentations anchor IAEL’s key note speakers at the strategic crossroads of entertainment and technological change at the international level.
