2025 will be the year of truth in the implementation of the AI Act
The CSPLA report on the implementation of the European regulation establishing harmonised rules on AI provides the ingredients but… not the recipe! The European AI Office created by the IA Act is due to publish a ‘European model’ shortly, to be followed by the EU-27, by Anne-Marie Pecoraro.
The report entitled ‘AI and the Transparency of Training Data’, published on 11 December 2024 by the French Conseil supérieur de la propriété littéraire et artistique (CSPLA), is part of the preparations for the implementation of the European regulation on artificial intelligence (AI Act) and aims to clarify the interpretation and scope of the provisions imposing a ‘sufficiently detailed summary’ model. This model will be presented on behalf of France as part of the process of adopting a European model by the European AI Office (Al Office), the authority created by the Al Act and tasked with helping AI providers to comply. The European model is expected to be published in January 2025.
